I happen to be quite proud of my collection of MP3s, which is both ecclectic and fun. So, for your edification, here is the current contents of my playlist:

Smashing Pumpkins, A Killer in Me
Utada Hikaru, Hikari (Planet B remix)
Poe, Haunted
Maka Sakimoto, Yubiwa
Lara Fabian, the Dream Within
Buck Cherry, Open My Eyes
Smashing Pumpkins, Tonight Tonight
Home Made Kazoku, Thank You!
Massive Attack, Teardrop
Elsa, T'en va pas
Aaron Copland, Fanfare for the Common Man
Dar Williams, Calling the Moon
Indigo Girls, Ghost
Coldplay, Clocks (currently playing)
Seether (featuring Amy Lee), Broken (now playing)
Do As Infinity, Fukai Mori (running as I finish the list)
Akeboshi, Wind
Yoko Kanno, Escaflowne Opening Theme
Tokyo Babylon Kasho no Tsuki theme
Namie Amuro, Come
Gravitation, Yuki theme
Globe, Love Again
Nana Kitade, Kesanei Tsumi
Outkast, B.O.B. (Bombs over Baghdad)
Guster, Two Points for Honesty
Utada Hikaru, Automatic
Massive Attack, Dissolved Girl
Smashing Pumpkins, 1979
Utada Hikaru, Traveling
Gigi D'Agostino, I'll Fly With You

This is a rather small sampling of the MP3s on my hard drive at current. The day is grey, and I am grey inside and trying to do work, thus most of the fast-paced stuff didn't get on the playlist today (read: playlist = girlmusic, as my roommate's boyfriend puts it). And as time progresses songs will get deleted and new ones added, according to my mood and preference.

Maybe someday I'll list the complete contents of my CD collection, or catalogue my books. But those are rather extensive projects (especially the books), and a great deal of bother.

That is a rather rockin' mp3 list if I do say so myself =p

How do you download your MP3s?
*grin* I just got a new computer so I have lots of HD space to waste <3

I get them in various ways, both fair and foul. Usually you can find specific songs for downloading via a Google search, and get them free. Sometimes I seem them posted on message boards, communities, etc, and get them that way. Some people host mp3s off their websites. I used to use Kazaa, but I understand that's gone the way of the dodo now. Sometimes I get friends to send them to me, if it is revealed that they have music that I want. But I don't subscribe to any particular service.
